The £10 billion WiFi device boom
Global sales of WiFi-enabled products are set to reach around £10 billion in the next three years, it has been claimed.
From office equipment such as laptops to personal electronic devices such as mobile phone handsets, WiFi devices are the next big thing according to the WiFi Alliance.
Libraries, cafes and bars across the UK are already offering free WiFi access in a bid to draw in customers, so the demand is there for electronic sales jobs employees to exploit.
Chief executive of the WiFi Alliance, Edgar Figueroa, explained that there is little to rival WiFi's delivery in the current market either.
He told Total Telecom: "WiFi speeds are compelling and at the moment hard to match when using 3G."
But WiFi products are already used by an estimated 450 million people worldwide, so it will come as no surprise if WiFi device sales make it to the top of the sales jobs priority list for sales directors over the coming months.
Office equipment suppliers will no doubt be keen to snap up the most tech-savvy WiFi whiz-kid employees during sales recruitment drives in a bid to keep up with the ever-growing market.
