Jobseekers 'advised on interview communication'

Candidates applying for marketing and sales jobs should openly discuss what makes them the right person for a position during the interview process, it has been claimed.

According to recruitment website Job-Job.co.uk, employers tend to look for a well-rounded individual with an enthusiasm and passion for the job in question, not just great qualifications and references.

The group added: "Body language, careful choice of speech and attention to detail are basic elements candidates should be aware of in order to maximise their career potential."

In addition, the company pointed out that the ability of a candidate to display skills while acknowledging weaknesses is one of the first things an employer will be looking out for when conducting an interview.

Last week, job board InovaHire.com stated that video interviews conducted live over the internet are growing in popularity, as they allow employers and jobseekers to maintain some control of the recruitment process.
